To view if you're eligible for ExtraCash: In the Dave app, tap on the ExtraCash tab. You will be shown if you are eligible for ExtraCash and the amount. The amount you are eligible for will be valid for 24 hours. Each day, the amount could change subject to bank discretion.

ExtraCash is typically authorized within 5 minutes. Eligibility is determined at the time of each transfer and subject to bank discretion. It may take longer depending on other factors.

To view the most recent status on your ExtraCash, navigate to the ExtraCash tab.

You can choose to transfer your ExtraCash:

  • To your Dave Checking: Ready in your account in seconds and ready for you to spend with your Dave debit card, with no express fee.
  • To your external debit card: Ready within 1 hour. An express fee applies.
  • To your external bank account: Receive your ExtraCash within 3 business days, with no express fee.

Once you take your ExtraCash, the amount, transfer destination, and speed of the transfer cannot be changed.

If you need some extra help, please contact our Member Success team by navigating to your settings in the Dave app, then scroll down and Chat with us.

Download or open the Dave app and tap ExtraCash. We’ll ask for a few pieces of info about you and your bank before you can get ExtraCash for the first time. If you’re eligible:

  • From the ExtraCash tab in the app, tap Get ExtraCash.
  • Select where you'd like to transfer the ExtraCash. 
  • Success! Your funds will be on their way via the transfer method selected.
