This role focuses on building systems and automation that make compliance continuous, reliable, and embedded into how we operate. The Opportunity You’ll operate at the intersection of IT, security, and compliance, and you’ll be an influential contributor for a team that helps design systems to replace manual audit work with automated, scalable solutions. This includes automating evidence collection, strengthening IT General Controls, and integrating tools so compliance becomes part of day-to-day workflows rather than a periodic exercise. This is a high-impact role with real ownership. You’ll help shape how we scale our internal process through better systems, working across teams to turn requirements into durable, low-friction solutions. What You’ll Build & Own Automate or optimize high-volume manual processes (audit evidence collection, data gathering, compliance reporting) using APIs and workflows to reduce manual effort and human error Build integrations that pull data from systems of record (Okta, Workspace, GitHub, Security tools, Google Cloud, Snowflake) and consolidate it in BigQuery for audit readiness and analytics Design and implement agentic workflows that allow non-engineering stakeholders to interact with company data and reports through conversational interfaces, reducing their need to manually query or compile information Own the operational lifecycle of integrations: monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, and evolving them as business requirements change Identify manual handoffs and repetitive tasks across IT, audit, and business functions, then build automation or agent-driven solutions to eliminate them Work cross-functionally with business teams to understand pain points, translate them into technical solutions, and measure the impact on time savings and compliance readiness Build scalable, resilient, and secure systems The Impact Your work will enable Dave to scale securely with greater confidence, reducing audit overhead while increasing trust in our systems and controls. What We’re Looking For Experience & Technical Foundation 5–7 years of experience in IT systems engineering, automation, internal web services or a related technical role Proficiency in scripting or programming (e.g., Python) for building integrations and automation Experience building agents and end-to-end automation across systems using APIs, scripting, or workflow platforms Hands-on experience with GCP (Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Cloud Storage) and understanding infrastructure as code (e.g. terraform) Hands-on experience with GitHub or equivalent version control, including CI/CD automation (GitHub Actions, automated testing, deployments) Strong foundation in consuming and integrating APIs: handling authentication, rate limits, retries, and failures in multi-system flows Experience integrating identity systems (Okta), security tooling, and SaaS platforms into cohesive workflows Observability and runbook writing: designing monitoring, logging, and operational documentation so systems can be maintained at scale Experience working with stakeholders to gather requirements and informing buy vs build decisions, including scoping POC’s with vendors Experience with LLM API’s (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) Bonus Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, SOX, ITGC, GDPR) and how to build systems that support audit and control requirements Experience with data pipelines and BigQuery ELT patterns, schema design, data validation, and understanding how data flows to business users and reporting Knowledge of encryption, and PII handling in the context of compliance and data governance What Makes Someone Successful Here You take responsibility for outcomes and think beyond individual controls to how systems should work end-to-end. You care about building solutions that hold up over time, and you’ll reduce manual effort while improving accuracy and trust in our systems. You work well across boundaries, partnering with Business & Engineering functions to drive business value with tools. As requirements evolve, you’re comfortable navigating ambiguity, asking thoughtful questions, and adjusting your approach while continuing to move work forward. Dave vs. Goliath. We’re Dave. Dave is a financial app on a mission to build products that level the financial playing field. It is redefining the financial landscape by leveraging technology to create an affordable, transparent, and user-centric access to liquidity for millions of Americans. As a leading innovator in the U.S. financial services sector, Dave’s digital financial platform offers products designed to meet the credit needs of those underserved by traditional financial institutions. Dave’s offerings include its flagship ExtraCash product, providing members up to $500 within minutes. The company is on track to launch several new product offerings in 2026, including a Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) option. Dave is focused on serving Americans who are financially vulnerable or living paycheck to paycheck. Dave is leading the charge in creating a new era of credit products that prioritizes speed, affordability, and accessibility, making it the go-to financial partner for those who need it most. At Dave, data is the foundation of the financial infrastructure we build for millions of members. As our first Senior Data Analyst , you'll establish the reconciliation foundation for Dave's data systems — designing the pipelines, anomaly rules, and AI-powered matching logic that keep our financial data trustworthy and audit-ready. You'll sit at the intersection of data engineering, finance, and operations, serving as the technical lead who helps Engineering, Finance/Accounting, and Reconciliation Operations move faster and catch problems before they become incidents. This role is for someone who thinks in systems, is energized by financial data complexity, and wants to build something foundational from the ground up. What You'll Do Build the reconciliation foundation. Design and implement the data infrastructure that reconciles transactions across internal systems (e.g.,operation, ledger) and external partners (ACH networks, banking rails, payment processors), ensuring every dollar in equals every dollar out. Lead anomaly detection and rules development. Develop and maintain a library of anomaly detection rules — covering timing differences, partial matches, unexpected delays, and true errors — and evolve them over time using ML-based signals as data matures. Implement AI-powered matching. Apply probabilistic and fuzzy matching techniques to automatically resolve ambiguous or near-match transactions, reducing manual review queues and improving straight-through processing rates. Flag and triage unmatched records. Build real-time and batch pipelines that surface unmatched, delayed, or anomalous transactions to the right stakeholders, with enough context for fast resolution. Partner cross-functionally as the technical lead. Serve as the primary data partner for Engineering (system integration and pipeline reliability), Finance/Accounting (period-end close, audit support), and Recon Operations (workflow tooling, exception handling). Define data quality standards. Establish validation frameworks that distinguish expected timing lags from genuine discrepancies, and document data contracts between upstream systems. Drive automation and process improvement. Identify and eliminate manual reconciliation workloads through scalable pipelines, alerting systems, and self-serve tooling for operations teams. Elevate the team. Share reconciliation and data quality best practices, mentor analysts, and help establish this function as a core capability within the Analytics org. What You'll Need 5+ years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or financial data roles — ideally with direct exposure to reconciliation, settlements, or financial operations. Deep SQL proficiency and strong Python skills (pandas, PySpark, or equivalent); experience with DBT a plus. Hands-on experience with Snowflake and/or Databricks , including pipeline development, scheduling, and data modeling. Familiarity with ACH transaction cycles , payment rails, or financial settlement processes — you understand why timing differences exist and how to model around them. Experience building anomaly detection logic , whether rule-based, statistical, or ML-driven. Exposure to probabilistic/fuzzy matching techniques for entity resolution or transaction matching. Strong cross-functional communication skills — you can translate a data quality issue into clear language for a Finance partner and a technical spec for an Engineer. Practical AI/ML knowledge , including supervised and unsupervised methods relevant to reconciliation — anomaly detection (isolation forest, autoencoders), clustering for transaction grouping, and classification models for match/no-match decisions. Experience working with LLMs or AI-assisted tooling (e.g., prompt engineering, LLM-based data extraction, or AI-augmented workflow automation) to accelerate analysis and reduce manual review. Experience in fintech or financial services strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree in a field requiring analytical or structured thinking (e.g., STEM, Economics, Finance); Master's degree preferred. Why You'll Love This Job You're building from zero. This is a greenfield role — you'll define what best-in-class reconciliation infrastructure looks like at Dave, and your decisions will shape how the company manages financial data for years. Your work has direct financial impact. Every unmatched transaction you catch, every anomaly rule you write, and every manual process you automate has a measurable effect on financial accuracy and operational efficiency. You'll sit at the center of the business. Reconciliation touches everything — member disbursements, ExtraCash collections, banking partner settlements, and period-end close. You'll have visibility into the full financial picture. You'll solve genuinely hard problems. Timing lags, partial matches, multi-rail money movement — financial reconciliation is one of the most intellectually demanding data challenges in fintech. You'll contribute to a bigger mission. Accurate, trustworthy financial data underpins every product decision we make. Your work directly supports Dave's mission to level the financial playing field for everyday people. Technologies We Use and Teach SQL, Python, Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Looker Location: Remote — open to US Don’t let imposter syndrome get in the way of an incredible opportunity. Dave vs. Goliath. We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager, Growth Acquisition, to lead the product strategy, implementation, and scaling of our Marketing Technology ecosystem. The Opportunity This role is responsible for the end-to-end growth foundation that enables efficient, measurable, and compliant user acquisition, cross-sell, and retention across web and app. You’ll lead the roadmap for attribution, tracking, experimentation, and marketing integrations. It requires strong technical fluency and deep domain expertise in the Marketing Technology landscape. You will be the owner of the tech foundation that allows us to efficiently acquire, cross-sell, and retain users across web and app platforms. This is a deeply cross-functional, product-led role at the intersection of product, marketing, data, and engineering. Success requires strong technical fluency, clear product judgment, and the ability to balance near-term growth needs with long-term platform health in a regulated fintech environment. What You'll Build & Own Set the vision, deliver the results: Own and define Dave’s MarTech Stack, including paid channel automation (SEM, Paid Social, Programmatic, etc), attribution, lifecycle, and experimentation infrastructure. Make build vs buy decisions, including vendor selection, RFP process, and integration. Ship with speed and conviction : Own end-to-end enablement of web growth strategy — from CMS, landing pages, and experimentation to web-to-app and deep-linking — while partnering with core product teams to streamline registration, onboarding, and the full paid media-to-app customer journey. Enable flawless execution : Act as the connective tissue across Engineering, Data, and Marketing — ensuring alignment on priorities, clarity on plans, and efficient execution toward business outcomes. Build a culture of evidence: Drive rapid web experimentation by building and maintaining experimentation frameworks and infrastructure to test new growth hypotheses, from channel to creative to landing experiences. Stay ahead of MarTech and AdTech evolution : Drive the best-in-class playbooks and stay ahead of privacy changes to platform and policy shifts, as well as new entrants and new technologies — translating risks, impacts, and opportunities into clear guidance. The Impact Your work defines how efficiently we grow. You’ll build the systems that connect marketing investment to real member outcomes - helping Dave scale responsibly while delivering better, more relevant experiences. What We’re Looking For 5+ years of experience in MarTech and Product Management in a high-volume B2C technology-driven environment (fintech experience is a plus). Deep MarTech domain expertise with hands-on experience across analytics and attribution platforms (AppsFlyer, Braze, Firebase, Google Analytics, Amplitude, or similar), including a strong command of iOS tracking and measurement frameworks such as SKAdNetwork (SKAN). Cross-functional leadership skills, with a history of aligning diverse stakeholders across product, engineering, operations, and external partners. Executive-ready communicator, able to simplify complex data and influence C-suite leaders, regulators, and network partners. Analytical hunter mindset with strong judgment - expert in SQL and data analysis (Python/R a plus), able to cut through noise in complex data to surface insights and drive decisive action. AI-driven curiosity - fluent in applying AI to real product work beyond the basics (e.g., idea generation, data analysis, workflow automation), with the instinct to make teams and leaders smarter through creative AI use cases. Technical curiosity and fluency; a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is a plus. What Makes Someone Successful Here You take responsibility for outcomes, not just roadmaps. You understand how acquisition, activation, and retention connect - and you make decisions with the full system in mind. You’re comfortable working in ambiguity, asking the right questions before committing to a path, and balancing speed with long-term durability. You care about building systems that hold up over time, not just quick wins. You work well across disciplines and know how to bring people along. You simplify complex ideas, create clarity where there isn’t any, and use data to align teams around the right problems. You value feedback and use it to sharpen both your thinking and your product. As priorities evolve, you adapt without losing momentum. What to Expect This is a highly cross-functional role with real ownership. You’ll have autonomy to shape the MarTech roadmap, alongside partners in Growth, Marketing, Data, and Engineering. Priorities will evolve as we learn, but decisions are grounded in data and shared context.
