Protect My Balance Recurring Payment Authorization Agreement

In this Recurring Electronic Payment Authorization ("Authorization"), the words "we," "us," “you,” and "your" mean Coastal Community Bank, Member FDIC, (“Bank”), including, its successors, assigns, agents and service provider, Dave Operating LLC (“Dave”). The words "I" and "my" mean the member signing it.
The following Authorization applies to automatically triggered overdraft services I enrolled in for my Dave ExtraCash™ Account, such as the Protect My Balance feature (“Overdraft Services”). These Overdraft Services allow me to designate a deposit account (“Covered Account”) and set a balance threshold at that account to trigger an automatic review (“Triggered Event”) for available ExtraCash for you to transfer in the channel I selected.
AUTHORIZATION OF RECURRING PAYMENTS. As part of the Overdraft Service, I authorize you to initiate the following:
- ExtraCash Transfers: Recurring electronic transfers from my ExtraCash account to the Covered Account I selected when I enrolled in the Overdraft Services, up to $500, on the date that Triggered Event occurred.
- Balance Settlement Transfers: Recurring electronic transfers from the account(s) I connect through Plaid, any other designated checking or savings account or access device as shown in the “Linked bank and cards” setting of the Dave Mobile App, including my Dave Checking account (collectively “Accounts”), for the repayment of Overdraft Services transfers I preauthorized from my Dave ExtraCash™ Account, up to $500, on the date you estimate I will receive my next ongoing deposit into my Primary Settlement Account for the full balance amount, or partial increments, based on the automated transaction I initiated as part of the Overdraft Service. As explained in the Balance Settlement feature of my ExtraCash Deposit Account Agreement (“Agreement”), my funds will be pulled from the accounts and cards I have connected in this order until my ExtraCash balance is no longer negative.
EXCLUSION: I understand ExtraCash initiated through the Dave Mobile App is not covered by this Agreement, as they are individually authorized transfers, and that Revocation for my recurring pre-authorized transfers through the Overdraft Services does not apply to those single pre-authorized transfers. If I have questions on those transfers, I can contact support@dave.com.
AUTHORIZATION TO CORRECT ERRORS AND MODIFY/COMBINE PAYMENTS. In the event that you make an error in processing an electronic transfer, I authorize you to correct the error by initiating an electronic credit or debit in the amount of such error on or after the date such error occurs. I authorize you to verify the payment and Account information that I provided. If I make a typographical or similar error in providing you with such information, I authorize you to correct the error. Instead of or in addition to any electronic debits described above, I authorize you to initiate electronic debits for any amount and on any date that I subsequently direct by phone, email or other method we make available. I authorize you to combine multiple electronic debits that you may be initiating on the same day into a single electronic debit.
REINITIATING A REJECTED DEBIT. Unless otherwise limited by law, if the electronic debit is rejected, I authorize you to collect partial payments and/or to re-initiate it up to two additional times or any greater number of times permitted by network rules. I understand that my other financial institution(s) may impose fees in connection with rejected debits, and I agree that you do not have any liability for such fees.
REVOCATION AND TERMINATION. I understand that I can revoke this Authorization at any time by writing to support@dave.com or calling Dave’s toll-free number identified in my account agreement. Notice must be received AT LEAST THREE (3) BUSINESS DAYS PRIOR TO THE NEXT SCHEDULED PAYMENT DUE DATE to avoid the next scheduled Triggered Event or settlement from being automatically debited. I understand you may terminate my enrollment in recurring electronic debits at any time for any reason, including excessive returned payments. If this Authorization is canceled for any reason, I understand that I will be responsible for settling my overdraft under the Agreement.
MISCELLANEOUS. I promise that I am an authorized signer on the Accounts. To specify new Account information or a new payment method, I will update the “Linked bank and cards” setting of the Dave Mobile App.
I understand that I should retain a copy of this Authorization for my records and any authorized updates to it, which will be provided to me.
